Delhi Police used tear gas to disperse Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-aligned protesters as they approached the Parliament complex during the outfit's "Chalo Sansad" march on Monday, coinciding with the opening day of Parliament's Monsoon Session. Security was significantly tightened across the national capital, with heavy police deployment at Jantar Mantar, Parliament and other key locations. Authorities also enforced prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) across the New Delhi district. As protesters advanced, security personnel sealed the Parliament complex gates. The CJP organised the march over alleged NEET-related irregularities and is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
