India enjoyed a successful Day 4 at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, with Mirabai Chanu winning a record-breaking gold medal in the women's 48kg weightlifting event. Chanu lifted a Games record total of 190kg, including record lifts of 85kg in the snatch and 105kg in the clean and jerk, to claim her third consecutive Commonwealth Games gold. India also won silver medals through Rishikanta Singh in the men's 60kg category and Raja Muthupandi in the men's 65kg event. Jhandu Kumar added a bronze in para powerlifting, taking India's overall medal tally to 4. (PC: NDTV)
