Indian weightlifter Rishikanta Singh won a silver medal in the men's 60kg event at the 2026 Commonwealth Games. He set a Commonwealth Games record by lifting 121kg in the clean and jerk but finished second to Malaysia's Aniq Kasdan with a total lift of 264kg. "Today my performance is not satisfactory," Rishikanta said, revealing he competed despite a knee injury. He thanked his coaches, physio and training partner Vaishnavi for their support. The Manipur athlete also said he hopes to recover fully and win a medal at the 2026 Asian Games.
