The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has launched 'Saakshi', an online platform to collect and preserve photos and videos from the July 20 'Chalo Sansad' protest at Jantar Mantar. The platform allows users to upload original files, which receive a cryptographic fingerprint to help maintain a tamper-evident record for possible legal use. CJP said the platform is designed to support legal action over alleged police excesses and is not a replacement for personal safety or legal advice. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal also announced ₹1 crore in legal aid to support protesters facing cases or alleged harassment. (PC: HT)
