India's Neeraj Chopra and Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem qualified for the men's javelin final at the Commonwealth Games 2026 despite difficult weather in Glasgow. Strong winds and chilly conditions prevented all 16 athletes from crossing the automatic qualification mark. Chopra secured his place with a best throw of 79.61m after opening with 76.28m, while Nadeem qualified with 78.63m. Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathirage topped the standings with 82.84m. India also saw Rohit Yadav and Yash Vir Singh reach the final, making it the first time 3 Indian javelin throwers have qualified for a Commonwealth Games final. (PC: India Today)
