A discarded SpaceX rocket is expected to crash into the Moon on Wednesday after drifting through space for more than a year. Experts say it will hit at about 5,400 mph, creating a crater around 27 metres wide and sending dust and rocks into space. Scientists plan to study the impact to better understand the risks of space debris for future Moon missions. The rocket was originally used to launch two lunar landers in January 2025. NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and South Korea's Danuri orbiter will capture images before and after the crash to study its effects. (PC: AP)
