She said the Prime Minister's decision gave her daughter "a new life" and called it the greatest birthday gift. The teenager had earlier posted an apology video, admitting her mistake and saying she was influenced by people around her during the protest. An FIR was registered over the incident and later transferred to Delhi Police.
