The death toll in the Kulgam terror attack has risen to 2 after Bhupendra Bhaina (28), a migrant labourer from Chhattisgarh, succumbed to bullet injuries on Saturday. The attack took place on Friday when terrorists opened fire on 2 brick kiln workers in Kelam village. Deepak Ratre (24) was killed on the spot, while Bhaina later died during treatment. Both had travelled to Jammu and Kashmir this year for work. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha ordered intensified anti-terror operations and stronger security for migrant workers. The Chhattisgarh government announced ₹20 lakh compensation for each victim's family. (PC: HT)
