India concluded its Commonwealth Games 2026 campaign in Glasgow with 39 medals including 13 gold, 17 silver and nine bronze after teenage para-cyclist Lisha Das finished sixth in the women's C4-C5 1000m time trial on the final day. The 16-year-old from Assam, the youngest member of the Indian contingent, clocked 1:34.410 in the event won by Australia's Tayla Neyland. Despite a quiet finish, India enjoyed a strong overall campaign highlighted by multiple boxing, para-sports and judo medals. However, the tally fell well short of the country's record 101 medals at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games and its 66-medal haul at the 2018 Gold Coast edition. (PC: HT)
