Reigning world champion Jaismine Lamboria will serve as India's flag-bearer at the Commonwealth Games 2026 closing ceremony on Sunday. The 24-year-old boxer capped another successful campaign by winning gold in the women's 57kg event, adding to the bronze medal she secured at the Birmingham 2022 Games. One of India's most consistent boxers, Jaismine also claimed the World Championships title in Liverpool last year before earning silver at the Asian Championships earlier this year. The closing ceremony will also feature the official handover of the Commonwealth Games to India, with Ahmedabad set to host the 2030 edition through a cultural presentation celebrating India's heritage and Commonwealth values.
