Former International Air Transport Association (IATA) Director General Willie Walsh officially took charge as IndiGo's Chief Executive Officer on Monday. Announced as the airline's CEO in March 2026, Walsh brings over 40 years of aviation experience, including leadership roles at British Airways, International Airlines Group and Aer Lingus. IndiGo Managing Director Rahul Bhatia said Walsh's global expertise will help accelerate the airline's international expansion and strengthen its position in the global aviation industry.
