Student protests over alleged irregularities in Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) recruitment exams entered the sixth day on Monday, with the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) extending support to the agitation. Protesters are demanding the cancellation of the 14th JPSC examination and a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities. Student leader Devendra Nath Mahto continued his indefinite hunger strike, while demonstrators compared their movement to Delhi's Jantar Mantar protests. "We are staying awake to wake up the government," protesters said, holding the Hemant Soren government responsible and demanding transparent recruitment and permanent government jobs.
