Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has rejected comparisons between the party's Jantar Mantar protest and the 2024 Bangladesh student uprising, calling such claims an attempt to "defame" the movement. Responding to comments by exiled Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen, Dipke said the CJP was focused on democratic demands and was "different". He also warned that the party could resume protests if the Centre fails to fulfil promises, including ₹1 crore compensation for families of NEET-UG aspirants who allegedly died by suicide. Dipke also opposed Pralhad Joshi's appointment as the new Education Minister. (PC: HT)
