UEFA has threatened legal action against FIFA over President Gianni Infantino's abandoned plan to sell minority stakes in a new commercial subsidiary managing major tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup. UEFA said it is considering legal proceedings and has demanded FIFA preserve all documents related to the proposal. The English Football Association is also expected to withdraw its support for the plan. FIFA had proposed creating FIFA Forward Enterprise, allowing outside investors to buy minority stakes, while member associations were offered funding if they backed the project.
