AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Monday congratulated Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on winning the Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Bihar. Referring to the seat previously held by BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Kejriwal claimed the BJP had "lost its president's seat" and said the result reflected growing public dissatisfaction with the Narendra Modi-led government. Election Commission data showed Kishor defeated BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha by 19,246 votes. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary accepted the verdict and congratulated Kishor, who said he would continue raising public issues with greater strength as an MLA. (PC: HT)
