Kashmiri mixed martial artist Owais Yaqoob created history for India by defeating unbeaten two-time IMMAF world champion Delyan Georgiev via first-round technical knockout at BRAVE CF 107 in Burgas, Bulgaria. The victory marked Georgiev's first professional defeat and one of the biggest wins of Yaqoob's career. Hailing from Murran village in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, Yaqoob showcased technical superiority throughout the bout. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah congratulated the fighter, calling the achievement a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir and India.
