A US federal judge has permanently dismissed the criminal fraud and bribery case against Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani. The decision ends the criminal proceedings that had been pending in the US for nearly 2 years. Judge Nicholas Garaufis granted the US Justice Department’s request to dismiss the charges but raised concerns about how the decision was made. The case had accused the Adanis and others of involvement in an alleged bribery and fraud scheme. Adani welcomed the ruling, saying his faith in truth and the rule of law remained strong.
