Pakistan activated spies and sleeper cells inside India to locate the country’s S-400 air defence systems during Operation Sindoor, former Western Air Command chief Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra has said. Mishra said the Russian-made systems became a major threat to Pakistan’s air operations, keeping its fighter jets far from the Indian border. He said Pakistan also used other means, including satellite assistance, to track the systems. Mishra further revealed that women fighter pilots carried out multiple combat missions during the conflict, striking terror targets before later targeting Pakistani airbases and command-and-control centres.
