The death toll from the devastating flash floods in Nepal and Tibet has crossed 350, while rescue teams continue searching for survivors and missing people. India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said at least 288 Indian nationals remain uncontactable in Nepal, while around 200 others are stranded on the Chinese side of the border. The disaster, triggered by a major glacial collapse and debris flow, has destroyed roads, bridges and settlements near the Nepal-China border. Rescue operations remain difficult because of damaged infrastructure and hazardous terrain. Authorities are also monitoring a growing barrier lake that could trigger further flooding. (PC: PTI)
