Hundreds of desperate families crowded hospitals across Nepal on Thursday, searching for relatives missing after catastrophic flash floods killed at least 359 people. At Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, families carried photographs and shared names, addresses and phone numbers to identify missing loved ones. One distressed relative pleaded, “I’ll show you his photo,” reflecting the anguish of those still awaiting news. Hospitals in Kathmandu and Chitwan received bodies recovered from the Trishuli and Narayani rivers, while some mortuaries struggled with the number of victims.
