China has tightened restrictions on media coverage of the Nepal-Tibet flash floods and landslides that have killed at least 362 people, with more than 1,400 still unaccounted for. Chinese authorities have released limited information, while state media has focused largely on rescue and relief efforts. Videos filmed by Tibet residents, including footage of a mudslide engulfing a border crossing in Gyirong County, were reportedly removed from Chinese social media. At least three people died and over 500 remain missing in Gyirong alone. China’s Foreign Ministry said nearly 100 Chinese nationals were missing in Nepal. Premier Li Qiang visited Tibet to oversee relief operations, while President Xi Jinping ordered authorities to maximise rescue efforts. (PC: AFP)
