A candlelight vigil was held at Kangla Gate in Imphal over the death of Manipuri musician and music teacher Chongtham Vikram, who allegedly died after being assaulted outside his Delhi home. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh expressed grief and wrote to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, seeking a fair, time-bound investigation under senior police supervision. He also called for the arrest and prosecution of all alleged perpetrators and conspirators. Delhi Police has arrested seven adults and detained a minor in connection with the case. Vikram, 54, had lived in Delhi’s Kilokri area for nearly a decade and taught music. (PC: NDTV)
