India’s men’s badminton team won the bronze medal at the Asian Games 2026 after losing 3-1 to China in the semi-final on Wednesday. Lakshya Sen lost the opening singles tie to China’s Shi Yu Qi. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty then levelled the contest by beating Wang Chang and Liang Weikeng in the doubles. However, Ayush Shetty lost to Li Shi Feng 21-19, 21-13, putting India behind again. Hariharan Amsakarunan and Arjun Madathil fought hard against Ji Ting He and Yi Liu but lost 16-21, 21-17, 9-21. The defeat ended India’s campaign with a bronze medal in the men’s team event. (PC: X)
