India missed out on a shooting medal at the Asian Games 2026 on September 28 after finishing fifth in the women's 25m air pistol team event. Manu Bhaker and Rahi Sarnobat failed to qualify for the individual final, while Esha Singh secured her place by finishing eighth in the qualification round. India also received a medal boost in Kurash, as Pincky Balhara reached the women's 78kg semi-finals to assure at least a bronze.
