India’s men’s hockey team won gold at the 2026 Asian Games after beating Malaysia 3-1 in the final on Saturday. Harmanpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh and Hardik Singh scored for India. The win helped India defend its Asian Games title for the second straight time. It also secured India a place at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. India’s women’s team had also won gold after beating China in the final. This marked the first time both Indian hockey teams won gold at the same Asian Games. India finished the Games with 21 gold, 27 silver and 37 bronze medals.
