Priyanka Gandhi Vadra alleged that women police personnel shoved her to the ground and scratched her during an INDIA bloc protest in central Delhi on Wednesday. Opposition MPs were stopped on Ashoka Road while travelling by bus to Jantar Mantar to protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Rahul Gandhi was also detained and taken away in a police vehicle. Priyanka and other women leaders sat and later lay on the road, with her holding a copy of the Constitution. The Opposition is demanding Kumar’s resignation and raising concerns over alleged irregularities in the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision exercise and “vote chori”. (PC: India Today)
