Bollywood actor Imran Khan was released after being detained by Mumbai Police during a protest supporting the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on October 10, 2026. The demonstration, organised in solidarity with the Delhi protest demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation, was planned at August Kranti Maidan. Imran attended with his girlfriend, Lekha Washington, and cousin Zayn Marie Khan. Videos circulating online showed the actor chanting “Jai Hind” as police personnel attempted to prevent him from leaving. He later said he had been driven around in a police van for approximately two hours before being released. (PC: ITG)
