Singer Chinmayi Sripaada has criticised people praising actor Nana Patekar after his death. “Those who are constantly singing praises of Nana Patekar need to acknowledge he had molested and it was NOT a one-time behaviour,” she wrote on X. Chinmayi backed singer Sona Mohapatra, who shared a comment from an assistant director claiming to have witnessed alleged sexual misconduct on film sets. Actor Tanushree Dutta had accused Nana of sexual harassment during the 2009 film 'Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss'. Nana denied the allegations. The case was closed in 2019 due to a lack of sufficient evidence. Criminal proceedings were dismissed in 2025.
