The father of the RG Kar rape and murder victim has questioned the CBI after the Supreme Court granted bail to former hospital principal Sandip Ghosh in a financial irregularities case. He said the agency must be held accountable for its actions. Doctors associated with the justice movement also criticised the CBI’s investigation. Dr Utpal Bandyopadhyay demanded a public explanation for delays in the case. Dr Aniket Mahato alleged that the agency had examined only seven of 147 listed witnesses in two years. Ghosh was arrested over alleged financial misconduct at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
