India has invited Pakistan’s Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, to the inaugural Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Civilisational Dialogue Forum in New Delhi from November 20 to 22, 2026, diplomatic sources said. New Delhi has invited all 10 SCO member states to participate in the event. The invitation marks the first such invitation to a senior Pakistani minister since Operation Sindoor, launched by India in May 2025 following the Pahalgam terror attack. The move comes amid strained bilateral relations between the neighbouring countries. The forum will bring representatives of SCO members together for discussions focused on civilisational dialogue, although further details about the agenda were not provided. (PC: X)
