The bodies of all six people killed in a helicopter crash in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on October 30 have been recovered, according to the district administration. The private helicopter, operated by Trans Bharat Aviation, crashed near Chai village in the Joshimath area while travelling from Badrinath to Dehradun. The deceased included pilot Himanshu Sabharwal and five pilgrims from Karnataka. Difficult mountainous terrain and adverse weather conditions hampered the recovery operation. The bodies were taken to a community health centre in Jyotirmath and arrangements were made to transport them to AIIMS Rishikesh for post-mortem examinations.
