Six Indian tourists, including 2 women, have been stranded near Nepal’s deepest lake, Shey-Phoksundo, following heavy snowfall in the Himalayan region. Nepalese authorities have launched rescue efforts, with an Army team deployed and a helicopter expected to assist. The tourists were travelling towards the lake in Dolpa district when they became trapped near the Dho area. Officials said the group continued despite warnings from local security personnel and their Nepali guide about worsening weather. Communication with the tourists was lost on Saturday night, while poor connectivity and heavy snow have complicated rescue efforts. (PC: NDTV)
