According to intelligence sources, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists are reportedly receiving specialised maritime training at Charna Island, approximately 50 kilometres from Karachi, Pakistan. Disguised as tourists, the recruits are allegedly learning scuba diving, combat swimming and underwater operations. The training is reportedly conducted by members of the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML), described as an LeT proxy organisation. Intelligence agencies identify the unit as the Dawa Marine Wing or Sada-e-Hurriyat. Concerns have increased because the 26/11 Mumbai attackers entered India by sea. Indian security agencies are monitoring potential maritime threats.
