Enforcement Directorate Charges Hemant Soren in ₹600 Crore Land Scam Allegations

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren faces allegations of involvement in a ₹600 crore land scam, as per an Enforcement Directorate chargesheet. Accused of illegal land occupation and corruption, Soren and three others, including a revenue officer, face scrutiny over a web of corruption and manipulation in Jharkhand's land ownership. Soren's alleged ownership of an 8.86-acre land in Ranchi, valued at ₹31 crores, is under investigation. The ED claims to have seized properties worth ₹256 crores linked to the syndicate. Soren denies accusations, attributing them to BJP's political maneuvering. Sixteen arrests have been made in the case.
