The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) following Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea for relief in a money laundering probe related to the excise policy case. Kejriwal challenged the Delhi High Court's decision upholding his arrest, alleging it was to hinder his campaigning. The SC bench, comprising Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta, asked the ED to respond by April 24. Kejriwal's plea is scheduled for hearing in the week starting April 29. The ED arrested Kejriwal for allegedly evading summonses and obstructing the money laundering inquiry into Delhi's excise policy for 2021-22, later scrapped.
