The Election Commission of India has approved re-polling at 11 police stations in five assembly constituencies of Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency (IMPC) due to irregularities during the first phase of voting on April 19. The re-polling, scheduled for April 22, will take place in two districts of Imphal West and Imphal East. This decision follows directions under Sections 58(2) and 58A(2) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. The Chief Electoral Officer of Manipur announced the fresh poll from 7 am to 5 pm, aiming to ensure fair and transparent elections.
