The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for Thane, Raigad districts, and parts of Mumbai from April 27 to 29 due to an anti-cyclonic circulation. Temperatures are expected to peak on April 27 and 28. This is the second alert this month, with temperatures reaching 41 degrees Celsius in some areas on April 15 and 16. The IMD advises precautions like staying hydrated, wearing light-colored clothing, and avoiding prolonged outdoor exposure during peak afternoon hours.
