Severe heatwave conditions are forecasted by the India Meteorological Department for several regions in India until April 30. Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, and parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal are expected to experience intense heat. Isolated areas in Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, and other states will face heatwave conditions. Maharashtra's Thane, Raigad, and parts of Mumbai are on alert from April 27 to 29, with temperatures peaking on April 27 and 28. On Thursday, Maharashtra's Jalgaon recorded the highest maximum temperature in the region at 42.7 degrees Celsius.
