Trinamool Congress has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission, asserting that the CBI conducted "unscrupulous raids at empty locations in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal, on poll day (April 26)." They claimed the agency's actions were aimed at tarnishing the image of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) during the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections, 2024. The complaint raised doubts about the authenticity of the weapons seized, stating, "There is no way of knowing with certainty, as to whether these weapons were indeed recovered during the search and seizure procedure or whether they were surreptitiously planted by the CBI/NSG."
