17 Millionaires Competing for Four Lok Sabha Seats in Odisha

In Odisha's upcoming Lok Sabha elections on May 13, out of 37 candidates contesting in Nabarangpur, Berhampur, Koraput, and Kalahandi constituencies, 17 are crorepatis, according to the Association for Democratic Reforms. BJP and BJD candidates, along with others, have assets exceeding ₹1 crore. The richest contender, BJP's Malvika Devi, holds assets worth ₹41.89 crore. Conversely, the poorest candidate, SUCI's Pramila Pujari, has assets of just ₹20,625. Educational qualifications vary, with 14 candidates having passed class 5 to 12, while 22 are graduates. Only seven candidates are female, and the age range spans from 25 to 70 years, with the majority falling between 41 to 60 years.
