Former Air Force Chief's Wife Excluded from Voters List Sparks Concerns During Pune By-polls

Former Air Force Chief, Air Chief Marshal Pradeep Vasant Naik expressed dismay as his wife, Madhubala's name was mysteriously absent from the voters' list during polling at booth 26, Sampling School Baner Road, Pune. Naik, 75, and his son Vineet, 43, managed to cast their votes, but Madhubala, 72, was denied. Despite possessing valid slips from the local corporator, officials couldn't rectify the issue. Naik urged an inquiry into the widespread deletions in the list. The incident occurred amidst the Pune Lok Sabha constituency bypolls following the demise of MP Girish Bapat. BJP's Murlidhar Mohol and Congress's Ravindra Dhangekar are contesting.
