Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, has been permanently removed and cannot be reinstated. At a rally in Shivaji Park, Mumbai, he criticized the opposition INDIA bloc for promising to reverse this decision, accusing them of exploiting the issue for votes. Modi claimed his government has genuinely upheld the Indian Constitution. He also warned that the INDIA bloc plans to target temple gold, women’s mangalsutras, and introduce a 50% inheritance tax. Additionally, Modi accused the bloc of aligning with Pakistan’s rhetoric and defending terrorist Ajmal Kasab.
