Violence erupted across West Bengal on Saturday during the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections, with 13% voter turnout recorded by 9 am. The Election Commission reported 715 complaints from political parties about EVM malfunctions, voter intimidation, and agents being barred from polling booths. Voting is taking place in nine constituencies: Dum Dum (10.86%), Barasat (12.94%), Basirhat (15.66%), Jaynagar (13.13%), Mathurapur (13.54%), Diamond Harbour (14.16%), Jadavpur (13.46%), Kolkata Dakshin (10.16%), and Kolkata Uttar (8.92%).
