London Mayor Sadiq Khan and Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf have blamed Home Secretary Suella Braverman for clashes between far-right protesters and police at the Cenotaph on Armistice Day. In a tweet, Khan said the disorder was a direct result of Braverman's words which made the police's job harder. He offered the Metropolitan Police his full support to take action against hate speech and lawbreakers. Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper also called for calm and urged everyone to reflect on the impact of their words and actions. She said it's the responsibility of all to bring people together this weekend, not divide or inflame tensions. The comments come after clashes earlier in the day between counter-protesters and police ahead of the Remembrance Day service.
