Mumbai Police are investigating whether the accused in the Tiger Shroff firing case planned attacks on several Bollywood actors. According to sources cited by NDTV, the suspects spent nearly a month in Mumbai and surveyed Aamir Khan’s Bandra residence 3 times. Investigators said the actor’s frequent absence for film shoots may have made him difficult to target. The accused allegedly examined the homes of other actors, including Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar. Police are probing the wider conspiracy and possible links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The investigation follows the October 18 shooting at Shroff’s car in Juhu, Mumbai. The Indian Army has dismissed a viral deepfake video that falsely claims China has taken control of parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Indian troops have been denied essential supplies. The manipulated clip attributes fabricated remarks to senior Army officer Lt Gen Girish Kalia. The Army’s fact-checking unit said the video used AI-generated lip-syncing and voice cloning over genuine archival footage. The original video was recorded during a press briefing in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, on October 27, 2023, about infiltration attempts along the Line of Control. Ravi Tamta, a Bachelor of Arts graduate from Uttarakhand’s Almora district, has developed a single-seater electric flying vehicle after 13 years of self-learning and experimentation. His prototype, named HAPIDA SKYNeX, completed a test flight in August 2026. Without formal engineering education, Tamta relied on online resources and practical experiments to turn his idea into reality. The vehicle is designed to take off and land vertically, potentially helping people travel across difficult mountain terrain. Protests against the proposed 11,200-MW Siang Upper Multipurpose Project in Arunachal Pradesh have turned violent, with indigenous communities and young protesters opposing the mega dam. Several people were injured after vehicles in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s convoy collided with an ambulance on the Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The accident occurred near Haliyapur in Sultanpur district while Gandhi was travelling from Lucknow to attend a court hearing in a 2018 defamation case involving Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Police said a vehicle ahead suddenly applied the brakes, causing vehicles behind it to collide. Reports said party workers and security personnel were among those injured. Gandhi’s car was not involved, and he remained safe. The convoy later continued towards Sultanpur for the court proceedings.
