The phrase “gobi farming” is linked to the 1989 Bhagalpur massacre, where many Muslims were killed and later buried under cauliflower crops. Critics said the post was insensitive and dangerous. Congress leaders Gaurav Gogoi and Mohammad Jawed called it “vulgar” and “shameful”. Lawyer Sanjay Hegde said it was an “incitement to violence”. The family dispute inside Lalu Prasad Yadav’s home deepened after three more daughters — Rajlakshmi, Ragini, and Chanda — left their Patna residence and went to Delhi with their children. Nitish Kumar, the outgoing Chief Minister of Bihar and JD(U) leader, is set to submit his resignation to the Governor on 17 November, clearing the way for a new government under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). NDA allies are holding legislative-party meetings to appoint their leader and finalise the cabinet. Sources say Tejashwi blamed her for the defeat and even threw a slipper at her. Rohini later said she was abused, insulted, and told her donated kidney was “bad”. She announced she was leaving politics and her family. Rohini claimed she was pushed out for questioning Tejashwi’s close aides, Sanjay Yadav and Rameez Khan. Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj party has claimed that the Nitish Kumar government diverted ₹14,000 crore obtained from a World Bank loan to fund election campaigns. According to party leaders, the money was used for welfare payouts under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, transferring ₹10,000 each to 1.25 crore women voters. Jan Suraaj alleges this was a strategy to “buy votes” and influence the 2025 assembly elections. 

Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party has claimed that the Bihar government diverted a ₹14,000-crore World Bank loan to fund election-time freebies. Party president Uday Singh said the Nitish Kumar government spent nearly ₹40,000 crore since June to influence voters. He said cash transfers to women under welfare schemes continued even a day before voting. Pavan Verma also alleged that money meant for other projects was used for payouts. The Jan Suraaj Party, founded by Prashant Kishor, failed to win any seat in the Bihar election. Party president Uday Singh said Prashant Kishor will continue working in Bihar and will not quit politics. He said, “We didn’t enter politics at anyone’s order, and we won’t leave because of anyone.” Singh blamed the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government’s “cash distribution” scheme for the NDA’s big win.
